Chart of Accounts
Overview: The Chart of Accounts is an organized listing of all accounts used in the company's general ledger. It helps categorize all the financial transactions of the company.
Main Sections
- Add a new chart of account

1. Add a new Chart of Account
At the top of the Chart of Accounts page, you will find the option to add a new chart of account.
- Account Number: Enter the specific account number you are looking for.
- Account Description: Enter keywords or the full name of the account.
- Type: Use the dropdown menu to select an account type (e.g., Asset, Liability, Revenue, Expense, etc.).
2. Accounts Table
Below the filter/search section is the Accounts Table. This table lists all the accounts with relevant details.

Columns:
- Account Number: A unique identifier for each account.
- Account Name: The name/description of the account.
- Type: The category of the account (e.g., Asset, Liability, Revenue, Expense).
- Enabled: Indicates if the account is active or inactive. Enabled accounts show as "Enabled" with a green indicator.
- Edit: Provides options to view and edit the account details.

Rows:
- Each row represents a different account with its corresponding details.
- Clicking the "Account Details" button opens more detailed information about that account.
3. Account Details
Clicking on the "Account Details" button in the Accounts Table brings up detailed information about the selected account.

Generating account details
- Date range: Selecting a date range will allow Odyssey to run the account details based on the selected date range.
Add/edit Chart of Accounts

Add an Account:
- Enter the number in the 'Account Number' field
- Enter an description in the 'Account description' field
- Select the account type in the 'Type' dropdown
- Select 'Save'

View Account Details:
- Click the "Account Details" button next to the Offset Printing Sales account.
- Enter a date range
- Select 'Run'
- Odyssey will present the increase or decrease for the account based on previous orders, along with a running balance of the account
- Edit Account Details:
- Click the pencil edit icon in the 'Edit' column
- You may edit the 'Account number', 'Account description', or 'Type' as needed
- Select 'Update' to save the updates
- Select 'Cancel' to exit out of editing the account

Enable/Disable an Account:
- Locate the account you wish to enable/disable in the table.
- Click the toggle in the "Enabled" column to change the account status.
