Before getting started with the email newsletter, be sure you have sent us a high-quality logo of your print shop as this will be used when sending a custom email newsletter. You will have the ability to customize the content within the Email Newsletter using the tools within the Control Center of your demo website.

Making adjustments prior to the Email Newsletter being sent out:

  • Log into the Control Center of the staging website we have set up for the WordPress plugin
    • https://<MI4PID+6>.secureprintorder.com where MI4PID is your MI4P ID and +6 is the first 6 letters of your printshop name
    • Example https://12345printi.secureprintorder.com
  • Select the 'Settings' tab
  • Select 'Email Newsletter' on the left
  • Select 'Switch to Custom Email Newsletter' if you would like to customize the content and delivery schedule of your newsletter
    • Do not select ‘Switch to Custom Email Newsletter’ if you would like us to send the default content on your behalf on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month

  • Select 'Create new issue' to create a newsletter issue (if one is not present)
  • Select 'edit' next to the Email Newsletter issue you wish to edit
  • Edit any of the sections as found on the left sidebar (Preview, TGIMonday, etc.)
  • Select 'Return to Email Newsletter' once customizing is complete
  • Select 'Send' if you would like to send a preview to yourself (or someone else)
  • Select 'Send Now!' to deliver the newsletter to your subscribers
  • You will be notified the Friday before each issue is sent with a preview of the latest Email Newsletter issue
  • If sending a custom Email Newsletter, it is your responsibility to click the "Send" button to deliver the newsletter at the time you choose. If you switch to Basic Email Newsletter, the Email Newsletter will be automatically delivered to your subscribers on the first and third Tuesdays of each month using the default article content from MarketingIdeasForPrinters.com.

    Customizing the Email Newsletter

    Adding Subscribers

    To add subscribers to your list of Email Newsletter subscribers:

    • Select 'Settings'
    • Select 'Email Newsletter'
    • Select the 'Subscribers' tab
      • You may add subscribers two ways:
        • Select the green 'Add Subscriber' button which will allow you to add a subscriber one contact at a time
        • Otherwise, you may select 'Click to choose a .txt or .csv file' next to 'Browse' to import multiple subscribers at once
        • Browse to a location on your computer where the file is stored
        • Select 'Open'
        • Map each column in your file to the corresponding field in the subscriber database.
        • Select 'Finish Import' once completed with the 'Import Subscribers' screen
        • You should now see additional subscribers listed under the 'Subscriber List' section of 'Add/Edit Subscribers'

    By proceeding to import subscribers into your Email Newsletter subscriber list, you acknowledge that the list you are importing contains email addresses belonging to individuals who have given you permission to send email messages to them.
