Ensure you have installed and activated the Marketing Ideas For Printers WordPress Plugin before continuing below.

Viewing available short codes

  • Select 'MI4P Plugin' in the lower-left of the WordPress toolbar
  • Select the 'Information' tab
    • The 'Marketing Ideas For Printers - Information' window displays a list of short codes that can be embedded on newly created pages of your website
    • If you are not subscribed to a particular MI4P subscription, you will see 'Looking to add [Product Name] to your website? Contact us to update your subscription.' next to a short code

    Creating WordPress pages to embed short codes

    • Select 'Pages' in the left-hand WordPress toolbar
    • Select 'Add New'
    • Add a name to the page at the top within the 'Add title' section
    • Copy a short code from the MI4P Plugin- Information tab and paste in the newly created page within the 'Start writing or type / to choose a block' section
      • Example: Creating a page called 'Printed Products' and pasting the embed short code [MI4pProducts'] will allow a list of all public order forms to show up on your WordPress website on that particular page.
    • Selecting 'Preview' will allow you to view the 'Printed Products' page before publishing the page publicly.

      To show only a specific printed product category on your WordPress website:

      • Log into your Info Center: https://www.mi4p.info/<MI4PID>/ where <MI4PID> is your Marketing Ideas For Printers ID.
        • If you do not recall what your log-in credentials are or your MI4P ID, please contact Customer Care at customercare@mi4p.com or 1-800-736-0688
      • Select the drop-down arrow next to the website listed on the home page of your Info Center
      • Select 'Control Center'
      • Select the 'Order Forms' tab at the top
      • Select Public 'Order Forms- Product Categories' on the left vertical toolbar
        • The list under 'Product Categories' is a list of printed product categories for display on your website.
      • To display only a specific printed category on your website, enter a product category name as part of the short code [mi4pProducts category = "business cards"] either in a new page or an existing page in your WordPress website.

      • The product category "business cards' would be replaced by a printed category of your choice.

      To show only a specific order form on your WordPress website:

      • Log into your Info Center: https://www.mi4p.info/<MI4PID>/ where <MI4PID> is your Marketing Ideas For Printers ID.
        • If you do not recall what your log-in credentials are or your MI4P ID, please contact Customer Care at customercare@mi4p.com or 1-800-736-0688
      • Select the drop-down arrow next to the website listed on the home page of your Info Center
      • Select 'Control Center'
      • Select the 'Order Forms' tab at the top
      • Select Public 'Order Forms- Order Forms' on the left vertical toolbar
      • Select the blue 'edit' button next to any order form
      • Write down or copy the Order Form ID # as found in parentheses after the order form name
      • To display only a specific order form on your website, enter an order form  ID # as part of the short code [mi4pProducts category = "brochures" id = "281272" ]either in a new page or an existing page in your WordPress website.

    • Continue with the above steps until you have added the desired short codes to pages you would like to show up on your WordPress website.

    Adjusting the WordPress menu

    To allow your print buyers to navigate to the newly created pages, you may add menu items to the main site menu.

    • Select 'Appearance' within your WordPress admin location
    • Select 'Menus'
    • Select the page names under the 'Pages' section that you would like as a tab at the top of your WordPress website
    • Select 'Add to Menu'
    • Drag each item into the order you prefer under the 'Menu structure' section
    • Rename the menu (if you prefer) next to 'Menu Name'
    • Select 'Save Menu'

     

    Adjust the sidebar when logged into Account

    • Select 'MI4P Plugin' within your WordPress admin location
    • Select 'Settings'
    • Select 'Show Sidebar' if you want your print buyers to see the left sidebar when logged into their account
      • The left sidebar shows their Reorder Forms Library, list of public products as well as the search toolbar to search for their reorder forms.
    • Deselect 'Show Sidebar' if you don't want your print buyers to see the left sidebar when logged into their account
