Our Social Media Marketing For Printers platform feature provides you with flexible options to manage your social media accounts efficiently. You can either link your accounts yourself or have MI4P manage them for you. Below, we outline the steps for both options, along with video walkthroughs to assist you in the process.
Option 1: Linking Your Own Social Media Accounts if You:
- Want to maintain full control over your credentials
- Understand you will receive periodic email requests to re-link your credentials and will need to keep up on this. This is a security requirement from the social platforms themselves.
Steps:
1. Log In:
- Access the system at social.marketingideasforprinters.com.
2. Link Accounts:
- Upon logging in, a pop-up will prompt you to link your social accounts. If not, navigate to "Linked Accounts" and select "Add New."
3. Platform-Specific Instructions:
- Ensure you are an admin on the company page.
- Click the Facebook icon and follow the prompts to select your company page.
- Link either personal or company profiles (only company profiles allow automatic posting).
- Click "Link Accounts."
X (formerly Twitter)
- Click the X icon
- Log in or verify your login to the company's X account.
- Select "Authorize App."
- Ensure you are an admin on the company page.
- Click the LinkedIn icon and choose to link either personal or company pages.
- Click "Link Accounts."
4. Default Settings:
- On the "Linked Accounts" page, use the Default Column to update the control of automatic postings.
- Check/uncheck to control automatic posting to specific accounts.
- Content will default to linked accounts but can still be manually posted to other profiles.
Option 2: Having MI4P Link the Accounts for You
Advantages:
- Simplifies account management
- MI4P handles the linking and re-linking process
Steps:
1. X (Twitter)
- Provide MI4P with your X account username/email and password as X does not allow admin assignments.
2. Facebook
- Switch to your company page via the account drop down arrow in the top right.
- Navigate to "Settings and Privacy" > "Settings."
- Under "Audience and Visibility," select "Page Access"
- Type in "Joe Printer" (the designated management account),
- Select the account with this icon
- Select give access
- Enter your password and complete verification steps
- Notify MI4P once the invitation is sent so we can accept it and manage the account
3. LinkedIn (You must be an admin on the company page to complete these steps.)
- Select "Me" in the upper-right
- Under "Manage," select your company page.
- Scroll to "Settings" and "Manage Admins."
- Search for "Joe Printer" and select the account with the same icon from Facebook.
- Designate "Joe Printer" as a super admin and save.
- Notify MI4P once both Facebook and LinkedIn steps are completed so they can manage the profiles on the SM4P platform.
By either linking your social media accounts yourself or allowing MI4P to manage them, you ensure continuous and efficient management of your social media presence. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the video walkthroughs provided.
