Advanced VS Simple Workflows

Updated at April 20th, 2022

In Odyssey, workflows enable you to see the working path a job will take from beginning to end in your print shop. These workflows consist of a collection of processes and resources that a job will need in order to make printing happen.

Your Workflows will most likely contain a collection of multiple Processes using many of the available options you create in your Resources.

There are two distinct types of workflows, Advanced Workflows and Simple Workflows.

Advanced Workflows:

Advanced Workflows are workflows that can contain multiple paths within them. This can be done by creating multiple simple workflows for each path a job could contain, or creating one large workflow that shows all of the paths a job could contain.

Example of an Advanced Workflow that displays all of the paths a job could contain.

Simple Workflows:

Simple Workflows are workflows that contain one singular linear path a job can take. Simple workflows are contained within Advanced Workflows.
