When Price Approval Is Not Required When Price Approval Is Required

Your website supports two price approval processes. The option being used determines whether a print buyer can complete cart checkout immediately or must approve a selling price entered by your team before the order moves into production.

Price Approval Not Required            Price Approval Required
When checkout occurs Immediately after the product is added to the shopping cart After your team enters a price and the print buyer approves it
Is pricing required? No Yes
When the order moves into production After checkout is completed After the price is approved and checkout is completed

When Price Approval Is Not Required

Use this process when the print buyer can complete the order without waiting for your team to review and enter a price.

Above: The ordering process when price approval is not required.

1. The print buyer selects a product, completes the order specifications, and selects ‘Add to Cart’.

2. The shopping cart appears, and the print buyer selects ‘Proceed to checkout’.

3. The print buyer completes the cart checkout and submits the order.

5. The order moves into ‘Production’ within Workflow.

Pricing may or may not be included with the order, depending on how the order form is configured.

When Price Approval Is Required

Use this process when your team needs to review the order specifications and provide a price before the print buyer completes checkout.

Above: The ordering process when the print buyer must approve the price.

1. The print buyer selects a product, completes the order specifications, and selects ‘Add to Cart’

2. The shopping cart appears, and the print buyer selects ‘Request Order Total’

3. Confirmation emails are sent to your team and the print buyer.

4. Your team reviews the submitted order specifications.

5. Your team enters a price for the order.

6. The print buyer is notified that the order is ready for review and approval.

7. The print buyer signs in, reviews and approves the price, and completes cart checkout.

8. The order moves into production with the price present and confirmed.

An order requiring price approval should move into ‘Production’ only after the print buyer has approved the price and completed checkout.
