Create and Manage Employee Accounts
Employees
Table of Contents
Employee accounts allow members of your team to sign in to the Control Center, serve as Client Representatives, or appear on your website’s staff page.
Each employee should have their own account using an individual email address. This helps you manage access appropriately and avoids sharing login credentials.
Create an Employee Account
1. Select Accounts from the Control Center menu.

2. Select Employees from the sidebar.

3. Select Add Team Member near the top of the page.

4. Complete the employee information form. An email address is required, but completing all applicable fields helps maintain an accurate employee record.

5. Select any roles or options that apply:
Customer Rep: Allows the employee to be assigned as the representative for a printbuyer account and receive applicable notifications about that customer's website activity.
Admin Access: Allows the employee to sign in to the Control Center and perform administrative tasks. After selecting this option, scroll down to ‘Admin Access Detals’ and choose the sections and features the employee can access.
Show on Staff Page: Includes the employee on your website’s Meet Our Staff page. You can add a photo, biography, questions and answers, social media links, and other available profile information.

6. Select ‘Add Team Member’ to save the employee account.

Edit an Employee Account
1. Select Accounts from the Control Center menu.

2. Select Employees from the sidebar.

3. Find the employee you want to update and select ‘edit’ to the right of their email.

4. Update the employee’s contact information, roles, profile details, or Admin Access permissions as needed.
5. Select ‘Save Changes’ to save your changes.

It is good practice to review employee accounts whenever someone’s responsibilities change. Admin Access should also be removed promptly when an employee no longer needs access to the Control Center.
Understand Admin Access Permissions
Admin Access determines which parts of the Control Center an employee can use. Give each employee access only to the areas needed for their responsibilities.
Some permissions provide access to an entire section of the Control Center. For example:
- Workflow provides access to the Workflow section.
- Web Pages provides access to the Web Pages section.
- Order Forms provides access to the Order Forms section.
Other permissions provide access only to a specific submenu. For example, My Website > Website Settings provides access to the Website Settings submenu, not the entire My Website section.
After selecting Admin Access for an employee, review the available permissions carefully and choose only those required for the employee’s role.
