Creating an Advanced Workflow: Defining Inputs & Outputs of a Process

Once processes‍ have been added to the Workflow for a Product, a user will need to define the specific Inputs and Output of each Process.

Processes will have already been added to the Workflow at this point. You may always add or edit the Processes for the Workflow before proceeding.

Processes: Defining Inputs in a Product Workflow

Select 'Printshop'
Select 'My Products'
Select 'All', 'Public', 'Private', or 'Guided' under 'Order Form'
Select the 'Workflows' button to the right of a product (also known as an Order Form)
Select from an existing workflow
- User will be taken to the workflow for that product
Select a process
Select one of the 'Resource' buttons in the input column for the process
Select the drop-down next to 'Pick one'
Select the appropriate resource to be used
- This will cause the selected 'Resource' to appear below the drop-down
Select 'Close' at the bottom of the window
Select the 'Resource' button for the next resource in the input column list
Select the drop-down next to 'Pick one'
Select the appropriate resource to be used
Select 'Close'
Continue selecting all the inputs for the process until all input resources have been defined

Processes: Defining Outputs in a Product Workflow

If the user is not in the process window from adding inputs above:
- Select 'Printshop'
- Select 'My Products'
- Select 'All', 'Public', 'Private', or 'Guided' under 'Order Form'
- Select the 'Workflows' button to the right of a product (also known as an Order Form)
- Select from an existing workflow
  - User will be taken to the workflow for that product
- Select a process
Select the 'Resource' button in the output column for the process
Select the drop-down next to 'Pick one'
Select the appropriate resource to be used
- This will cause the selected 'Resource' to appear below the drop-down
Select 'Close' at the bottom of the window

Most processes will only have one Output.

Continue selecting all the Outputs for the process until all Output resources have been defined
- Once all Inputs and Outputs for all processes for the workflow have been defined, you are ready to link processes.
