- Websites for Printers
Your website contains pre-built order forms, as well as easy form-builder tools that allow you to customize them or to build your own fully custom order forms from the ground up. Order forms can be publicly available or set as private reorder forms with access restricted to specific users.
This page provides a brief overview of the two kinds of order forms on your website. Because order forms are a vital part of your online business, we'll be discussing them in greater detail through the next three articles in the Getting Started Series.
Starter Forms
Starter Forms are pre-built and active on your website from the very beginning. You can turn them on or off as you need, and even use the editor to change the options that are presented to the customer. These forms were built to make your shop competitive in the online market, providing the product options that are most commonly available from the major online print companies.
Best for:
- Getting your website ready to use quickly
- Creating opportunities to sell printing that might otherwise have passed you by
Fully Custom Order Forms
In addition to the starter forms that are already a part of your website, you also have the ability to build your own order forms. We have some easy form-building tools available that allow you to add your own questions, options, instructions and more...and you don't have to know anything about website programming to quickly build great order forms!
Best for:
- Creating order forms tailored to the needs of specific clients
- Presenting order forms with more options than may be available on the system forms
- Making order forms for any non-printing products you might sell
Public and Private
Order forms can be publicly available or placed in a private Reorder Form Library. The difference is rather straight-forward: public order forms can be accessed by any customer on your website, while private reorder forms can only be accessed by a designated group (or individual).
For instance, you might have a major account, Sample Company Inc., that orders business cards from you frequently. With a private Reorder Form assigned to Sample Company Inc., you can ensure that only people that belong to that company are able to view their order form and place an order for that business card. We'll discuss that more in our Private Reorder Forms article.
The next step
Now that you have an overview of how the order forms work on your site, let's delve deeper into the system forms. Our next article takes a look at how system forms can be customized, activated and displayed to the customer.
