Your site can be brought live by making changes with either your domain name's registrar or your domain name's host. Simply stated, the registrar is the organization that ensures that your domain name continues to belong to you, and your host is the organization that makes sure that your domain name works.
So there are really two options available to you to bring your site live with MarketingIdeasForPrinters.com:
1) Make changes with your host. You can ask your host to redirect website (http/https) requests to us. Your current host would continue to operate your domain name for you, but would point web requests to our servers. Other operations like email would remain unchanged. This is usually the quickest and most efficient way to go live, but it also means keeping your current host in the loop.
2) Make changes with your registrar. The other option is to have your registrar move all website services over to us (including email). Essentially, this step makes MarketingIdeasForPrinters.com your website's host. This is a better long-term solution, but requires a little more legwork up front. For instance, since your email accounts would no longer be serviced by your current host, we will need to set up your e-mail accounts on our server before they can be used. This option also means you'd no longer need to pay your current host for hosting your website and e-mail services, because we'd be doing all that for you instead.
Either option is perfectly acceptable. You may also decide to start with option 1 and then go with option 2 down the road. This is the "geekiest" part of taking your website live, so please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have.
