How clients submit an order Manage email notifications Assign a client representative Add a recipient to Website notifications Add a recipient to File Sent notifications Add a recipient to Estimate notifications Add a recipient to Low Inventory notifications Next: Manage submitted orders

Like other e-commerce websites, your website allows clients to add multiple products to a shopping cart and submit them together as one order. After an order is submitted, the system sends email notifications to the appropriate recipients based on your account settings.

How clients submit an order

1. After completing an order form, the printbuyer selects ‘Add to Cart’. A shopping cart summary opens with several options for managing the items in the cart.

  • Make Changes: Returns the client to the order form with their selections still filled in so they can make updates.
  • Remove: Removes the item from the cart after the client confirms the action.
  • Make a Copy: Creates a copy of the product. This is useful for products such as business cards that may be ordered for several people.
  • View Details: Displays the options and information entered on the order form.

2. The button in the lower-right corner will display either ‘Request Order Total’ or ‘Proceed to Checkout’:

  • Request Order Total appears when one or more items in the cart do not have pricing. The order is submitted to your printshop without a total. You can then provide pricing through the Control Center’s Workflow tools for the client to review and approve. The next article explains this process.
  • Proceed to Checkout appears when every item in the cart has pricing. It takes the client through delivery, payment, and final order submission.

3. After selecting ‘Proceed to Checkout’, the client can review the shopping cart again and make changes or remove items before continuing.

4. The client selects a shipping or delivery option and provides an address when required.

  • If the selected shipping option requires an address, the client can choose a saved address or select Add New Address.
  • If the client has placed an order previously, the last-used address appears automatically.
  • The client can select Change beneath Saved Address to choose another saved address.
  • If the client selects a pickup option, a map showing your printshop’s location appears instead of the delivery address section.

5. The client selects Continue to Payment and chooses from the payment options available to their account.

6. If the payment option requires a billing address, the client selects an existing address or adds a new one.

7. The client can enter notes or other order details in the Additional Information section.

8. If an eligible promotional code is available, the client can select the plus icon beside Add Promo Code and enter it. This option appears only when a promotional code has been created and made available to the client’s account.

9. The printbuyer selects ‘Complete order’ to submit the order to your printshop.

Manage email notifications

The website can generate email notifications when clients:

  • Create an account
  • Request an estimate
  • Place an order
  • Send a file

The client representative assigned to the account receives notifications generated by that client’s activity. You can also add other users to one or more notification lists:

  • Notifications: Website recipients receive general website notifications for the account.
  • Notifications: File Sent recipients receive notifications when the client sends a file.
  • Notifications: Estimate recipients receive notifications when the client submits an estimate request.

A notification recipient can be an employee or another user in the system, such as a coworker at the client’s company.

Set system-wide defaults first, and then use the People tools in the sidebar to override those settings for a specific company, branch, or contact when needed.
