Website Keywords

Keywords are words and phrases people may use when searching online for your business or the products and services you offer.

Search engines today rely most heavily on the visible content and structure of your website, including page titles, headings, and descriptions.

Think of SEO like a book:

  • Keywords on a page help provide context, but on their own, they don’t carry much weight.
  • The SEO Options fields on your Product Categories and on your Featured and Custom pages act more like chapter and section titles. These tell search engines what each page is really about, which makes a much bigger impact on visibility.

Where SEO Has the Biggest Impact on Your Website

For the best SEO results, focus your efforts on the SEO Options fields, where search engines place more weight.

Updating SEO Options on Product Categories

To update SEO settings for a product category:

  1. Go to Control Center > Order Forms > Product Categories

  2. Select Edit next to the category you want to update
  3. Click the SEO Options tab

  4. Update the fields and Save

Updating SEO Options on Featured Pages and Custom Pages

To update SEO settings for Featured Pages or Custom Pages:

  1. Go to Control Center > Web Pages > Featured Pages or Custom Pages
  2. Select the page you want to update
  3. Click SEO Options

  4. Update the fields and Save

Updating SEO Options at the Product Category level and on your Featured and Custom pages gives search engines a clearer structure, stronger signals, and a better understanding of how your site is organized, just like well-written chapter and section titles in a book.

That structure is what helps your website perform better in search results over time.
