It's possible to import your pricing from a spreadsheet when you're using the Advanced Pricing: Tables method. This quick guide will show you how.
Importing pricing, step by step
- Click "Create a New Pricing Table"
- Choose a Display Name (this is what will be shown to the end user as a subtotal in the Online Price box)
- Choose the field that will be used to determine the quantity. (This is necessary for those circumstances where something other than the "Quantity" field will be used to determine the number of pieces)
- Choose "Add a Question"
- Choose an item that will be used to determine the amount of this subtotal, and click "Save"
- Click "Close" in the upper right corner of the pop-up window.
- Now there will be an entry listed in the Advanced Pricing: Tables list with the name you gave it.
- Click the green dollar sign button to the far right.
- (Optional) Choose Download CSV Template and open the downloaded spreadsheet file to see the template layout that will be used when you upload the CSV file.
- Choose "Upload Prices" to select and upload your pricing spreadsheet. Note, your spreadsheet must be saved in CSV (also called "comma separated values") format.
- You will be presented with a listing of the columns and pricing from your spreadsheet, with "Map To" pulldown menus beneath them. In each column, choose the matching column from your online order form. This helps for those cases where your spreadsheet isn't using exactly the same names as the order form, or has more columns than are used for the particular subtotal or columns that are in a different order.
- Click "Import Your Data"
- You will now see the imported pricing table. If you'd like to manually edit any prices, you can click in any of the fields and type. Press "Tab" to save.
- When your pricing is correct, click the "X" in the upper right corner of the pop-up window to exit.
- Repeat for all other subtotals.
