The Private Label Websites feature gives you the tools to build a customized storefront for your clients that completely removes all of your branding — a growing number of print buyers are requesting this feature, and now you can provide it! And our simple what-you-see-is-what-you-get interface makes setup and activation fast and easy.

What Private Label Websites Accomplish

Here's the idea: Marty Middleman approaches you and says he's selling calendars to booster clubs at several area schools. He'd like you to handle all of the printing, as well as provide the online order forms for them to place their orders.

Here's the catch: Marty wants to use all of his own branding for those online order forms, not yours.

Not a problem. With Private Label Websites, you can do that.

How to create a Private Label Website

  1. First make sure you've set up the company, added a contact to the company, and created an order form and assigned it to the company for which you'd like to create a Private Label Website
  2. When editing a company, click the "Private Label Website" tab
  3. Next, click the "Create Private Label Website" button
  4. You will then be taken to the Private Label Website Settings page

How to edit an existing Private Label Website

  1. When editing a company, click the "Private Label Website" tab
  2. Next, click the "Manage Private Label Website Settings" button
  3. You will then be taken to the Private Label Website Settings page

How to use the Private Label Website settings page

Every setting available for your Private Label Websites can be found on the Private Label Website settings page. The page is split into several different sections:

Status

By default, your private label website is inactive. This gives you time to work with the settings and get everything set up the way you need it before making it live to your customer.

When you are ready for your customer to start using the Private Label Website, click the switch on the right so that it says "On"

Note, your customers will still be able to use your website even if they have an inactive Private Label Website assigned to them — they'll just see your website design instead of their private label website design

Login Required

By default, this is set to "Yes". This requires users to have an account assigned to that company in order to log in and view its products. If they visit the site without logging in, they will see the Private Label Website design, and be prompted to log in.

If your customer needs users to be able to view the products without logging in, change this setting to "No". Note: Users will still be asked to create an account when placing an order, they just won't need to have one to view the products.

Web address

Use this setting to assign a web address to this Private Label Website

  • something.secureprintorder.com will automatically work, provided it's not already in use by any of our customers using Private Label Websites
  • If we are hosting your DNS, something.yourwebaddress.com will also automatically work. (If you're unsure whether we're hosting yout DNS, just ask us. We'll be happy to help.)
  • Any other web address will work, provided you update your DNS settings to direct it to our server, 69.20.103.147. (Please contact your domain registrar for assistance)
  • If you'd like us to create a new web address on your behalf (for a nominal fee), just let us know. Please contact CustomerCare@MarketingIdeasForPrinters.com for more information, or call us at 800-736-0688.

Header settings

As you wave your mouse over the sample page's header, the header will highlight and the other sections will dim. Click the "Header Settings" button to access the settings.

  • Background: Click the color box to the right to access the color selection tool. When you have created the color you want, click the "choose" button in the bottom right (or click the cancel link to the left of it to exit without changing the color).
Note: The color will change on the sample page even while you're adjusting it, but won't actually be saved until you click "choose".
  • Logo: Click the "Change Image" button to the right to access the image upload/selection options.
  • Logo Sizing: You might want to use an image that does not fit in the available space. This option lets you decide how the system should handle that.
    • Choose "resize" to shrink the image to fit the space available
    • Choose "crop" to force the image to fill the entire header, cropping any excess automatically
  • Logo Align: Use this to adjust the placement of the logo within the header. Note, this option is valid only for the logo sizing setting of "Resize"

Nav Bar Settings

As you wave your mouse over the sample page's Nav Bar, the Nav Bar will highlight and the other sections will dim. Click the "Nav Bar Settings" button to access the settings.

  • Colors: You can use the tools in the top section of the Nav Bar settings to set the colors for several different elements within the Nav Bar. Just click the color swatches to the right to select your colors.
  • Links: You can use the tools in the bottom section to turn any of the nav bar link on or off

Content Settings

As you wave your mouse over the sample page's Content section, the Content section will highlight and the other sections will dim. Click the "Content Settings" button to access the settings.

Footer Settings

As you wave your mouse over the sample page's Footer section, the Footer section will highlight and the other sections will dim. Click the "Footer Settings" button to access the settings.

The footer settings has color tools like the previous sections, and also allows you to enter custom text in the footer. Just click the blue "Edit Text" button to enter the text (and use the tools available to make it bold, underlined, bulleted, etc.), and use the Text Align pulldown menu to position it

Don't forget to save!

When you're finished setting up your Private Label Website, be sure to save your changes. You can find the save button at the top of the sample page, in the gray bar that contains the web address setting.
